Janaka Malwatta

Janaka Malwatta was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka’s hill-capital, grew up in London, and moved to Brisbane in 2010.
He won the 2021 Arts Queensland Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize. His debut collection blackbirds don’t mate with starlings is available from University of Queensland Press (UQP).
