Eileen Chong

Eileen Chong is a Sydney poet who was born in Singapore. Her books are Burning Rice (2012), Peony (2014) and Painting Red Orchids (2016). She was short-listed for the Anne Elder Award 2012, the Prime Minister’s Literary Award 2013, and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award 2017. The poet Boey Kim Cheng has said that Eileen’s is ‘a poetry of feeling’, ‘alive to the sorrows and joys of daily living’. eileenchong.com.au
